Too much to keep up

At least once a week someone comments on an Oprah episode within earshot.

example 1:
I was in my office at TSU, talking to a student and said "Hey- you know you look like a young Whitney Houston. She was on Oprah recently". Ashleigh says "Really? I hear she and Oprah got into it". I retort, "Um, Ms. Patterson, did you watch? I think they actually connected in a deep way."

example 2:
Chris Rock, Good Hair. End of story.

Really, I've not been keeping up with posting for my work at the gallery. But I think I should just tweet about it.

My Two Favorites

Carson Kressley and Oprah. I have watched his new show "How to Look Good Naked", and it really is a amazing look at women's perceptions of their bodies. He does this line-up thing that lays it out clearly, how we make perception a reality.

surprising a control freak

oprah celebrated the holidays with a show including rascal flatts (um, bad nashville boy hair), amy grant and vince gill, and kenny rogers. jamie fox made a surprise appearance. i'd realized i'd not blogged about this when talking tonight with a friend. said her husband was surprised at the mutual admiration between foxx and oprah. yeah. it's mutual alright.

favorite shots from favorite things

At least 20 audience shots withing the first FOUR minutes of the show (compare to NO audience shots from the horading episode). Favorite things causes mass-hysteria--and Oprah wants you to be glued to the madness (and to buy watches, shop at Target, etc).

coffee table?

When did Oprah put a coffee table on her set? There it is, right in front of Julia and Tom. I guess to make the set seem like Oprah's living room.
